Comedicine is a comedy podcast hosted by Dr Sarah Boston, who is a veterinary surgical oncologist and stand up comedian. Sarah interviews comedians who are also health care professionals (human and animal health). The Comedicine podcast will focus on our guest’s origins in medicine and stand up comedy, their joke-writing process and how they navigate these seemingly different worlds. This podcast is for anyone who likes comedy, health care, midlife crises/second careers, laughing or listening to interesting people.

How does a degree in theatre and music help you run a veterinary hospital? Let me count the ways! Our guest in this episode is Stephanie Goss. Stephanie started out with a plan to be in the theatre, but on the production management side. Then she transitioned to teaching. Then she transitioned into veterinary medicine. She is not afraid to make changes or take chances. We talk about her career path from receptionist to veterinary technician to practice manager to working for the Uncharted Veterinary Conference. Uncharted is a great word for Stephanie’s career, but it’s honestly working out for her. She is the co-host of the Uncharted Veterinary Podcast with friend of Comedicine, Dr Andy Roark. We can’t wait to see what Stephanie does next! Sarah is hoping that fixing veterinary medicine is on her to do list.
